What You'll Do:
Oversee and direct payroll procedures, including:
- Coordinating and agreeing on monthly timekeeping
- Ensuring payroll control and compliance with legislative requirements
- Being the point of contact for communications with statutory authorities and other departments (Finance, HR, Legal, Admin)
- Reviewing and approving draft salary registers and seeking clarifications
- Approving final pay registers and addressing outsourced payroll partner queries
- Handling front-end audit requirements during HR/payroll audits
- Manage and resolve payroll-related issues, incidents, and risk events
- Identify and report service performance issues, ensuring swift resolution
- Coordinate employee orientation sessions when needed
- Serve as the point of escalation for HR operational issues or complaints that the outsourced helpdesk partner cannot handle
- Oversee HR Helpdesk performance and drive improvements
What You'll Need:
- Proven experience as a payroll manager or in a similar role
- Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
- Familiarity with payroll software
- Operational practices expertise
- Keen eye for detail
- Analytical mindset and good math skills
- Outstanding communication skills (written and oral)
