About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned Product professional to enhance and scale our Networking services product portfolio. The ideal candidate gets an exciting opportunity to build a global scale footprint platform in next 2-3 years and be part of the young growth leadership role.

The role offers:

- Opportunity to enhance the networking product portfolio - by introducing new products adjacent to Cloud & DC networking and solving Enterprise networking challenges for long-term sustainable growth.

- Identifying white space in the market relevant to Lightstorm vision and use lean methodology in product development lifecycle from development to testing (functional, security and performance), deployment, iterations/release management, and retirement.

- Expansion of Smartnet and Polarin in new geographies (APAC & Middle East) and deployment of platform in third party networks in accordance with MEF/TMF standards for interoperability.

- Evangalise, build develop and own the greenfield product - (like a start up) using existing or new business model for servicing customers using API integration with existing players and ecosystem players

- Drive this pivotal program (both commercial and technical product) in Lightstorm's core vision and mission with thorough understanding of the key customer segment needs across wholesale and enterprise customers

He/she will lead the development of the product strategy for the portfolio to drive market share, revenue, and profit targets globally. This individual will provide the product leadership for the service globally, including strategic programs.

Responsibilities:

- Define Global Product strategy and roadmap for all networking services including L1, L2, IP, Cloud networking and enterprise solutions such as Edge, SD-WAN and allied services.

- Drive product revenue targets in close collaboration with Sales, Channel and Marketing team.

- Drive the full product lifecycle from research, design, specification, metrics definition, development, launch, and beyond.

- Drive and own business case, commercial modelling, pricing jointly with Finance and presentation to management for approval

- Work closely with software & network Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to prioritize features, ship products, and iterate based on data-driven insights.

- Translate long term business/product strategies into short term, iterative development cycles and technical requirements to internal & external teams

- Interlock with Engineering, Operations, IT, Legal and Regulatory, Program Manager, Service team, Regional Product Managers ensure timely delivery/roll out of new Service/Features as defined in the roadmap

- Ensure all stakeholders follow the agreed New Product Development Processes to rollout Services/Products

- Interlock with Marketing, Sales, Commercial and Channel to define value propositions of the Product.

- Interlock with various stakeholders to implement go-to-market plans.

Qualifications:

- The candidates who will excel in this role probably have a university degree, a solid background in engineering with a natural inclination towards planning and creating amazing products.

- He/She needs to be a self-starter with 'growth mindset' to be able to take up 'industry first' challenging assignment with the approach of a 'entrepreneur-manager' (do what you have to do, v/s to do what you have to be told to do)

- Although the role is a Head position, it requires the individual to own and manage some product lines as is the case with a lean Product team.

- At least 15 years relevant experience in product management of telecom networking services

- The candidate should have a good knowledge (in terms of market, technical and product features) in Networking services, including Software-defined networking and automation

- Preference for candidates with experience in a technical role, building and managing networking services in B2B space.

- Good knowledge on end-user driven applications riding on WAN services.

- Good knowledge in working/partnering with Technology/Software/Hyperscaler partners to jointly offer differentiated solutions in the market

- Proven experience in prioritizing development activities, writing requirements, and producing continual product improvements

- Experience leading cross functional engineering teams and collaborating well in a team environment

- Excellent verbal and communication skills, plus strong interpersonal and facilitation skills

- A never-ending drive to solve complex problems, move projects to completion, and gather feedback from customers

- Experience creating key performance metrics, and measurements of product success

- Product-Led growth mindset keeping customer at the center of everything

- Never afraid to question notions or beliefs of how things should be done
