- Manage the national weekly sales forecast process and the forecast quality. - Build baseline forecast & challenge/consolidate the promotions and new launch forecast projected by marketing teams. - Build consensus between baseline forecasts and financial plans. - Structure demand planning processes and ensure adherence to them. - Prepare, monitor, and report the key metrics around the demand planning processes including, Forecast Accuracy/Bias, Availability, Plan vs. Actual etc. and accountable to drive structural improvements around these metrics. - Designing and implementing the dashboards to bring visibility into metrics. - Define scalable automation solutions to help manage day-to-day planning processes. - Work closely with tech/product teams to translate these automation solutions into long term fixes. - Preparing business cases for new charters to improve metrics and aligning leadership for the same. - Implementing such charters by driving initiatives along with stakeholders in multiple teams. Skill and Competencies: - Experience in demand planning (preferably in ecommerce companies or through consulting engagements). - Exposure to demand planning systems. - Prior experience in working with large data sets and statistically interpreting it from a business point of view. - Strong ability to articulate analysis into a business story.
