Job Title: Business Analyst

Responsibilities:

- You will be responsible for data based decision making and help multiple functions in the Company.

- Maintain and use multiple in house and freely available databases and develop insights on top of those.

- Develop and enhance statistical models by leveraging best-in-class modeling techniques for predicting the health of business as well as any alerts or warning as well.

- Develop and execute data-based experiments to increase the efficiency of decision making based on the results.

- Understand the business, and independently lead projects that add value

- Drive & support key analytical pieces using Excel, SQL, R, and Tableau.

- Structure business problems into analytical pieces and come up with actionable business insights.

- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior leaders in the form of reports and dashboards

- Processing of large volumes of data in MS Excel to generate reports and outputs.

- Objectively analyze the data using Excel, VBA, Matlab, R or any other tools that can help in analyzing large volumes of data with an aim to generate meaningful insights for business development.

- Prepare report formats, analytical tools and processes to collect, clean, process, analyze and report large volumes of data and generate insightful reports from it.

Qualification:

- Bachelors or Masters in Engineering, Statistics, or related discipline from a reputed institute or an MBA from a reputed institute.

- Candidate must have minimum 2-6 years- experience as Business Analyst in a similar organization.

- Prior experience/knowledge in SAS/SQL programming and/or statistical modeling is a must.

- Proficiency in SQL is a must. Hands-on report development, dashboard creation, freeform SQL reports/metric/attribute/custom group/consolidation, and cubes creation

- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.

- Strong skills in SQL, PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and VBA coding.

- Optimization of the data model for query performance

- Experience with complex data models involving more than 5 tables

- Some Experience/knowledge in the use of the standalone or Enterprise tools like SAS / MicroStrategy / Qlikview / Pentaho .etc, will be good to have.
