Lenskart was founded in 2010 with a vision to solve this problem of eye wear and be the Numero Uno eyewear provider in India.  With technology integration into the eyewear vertical, and keeping a deep focus on consumer happiness, Lenskart has grown more than 200% Year on Year in the last 2 years to be among the top 3 Optical Retail businesses of India today.  With an employee strength of over 1200 employees, the company is continuing to grow 15% month on month, and changing the landscape of Indian Eyewear with its very unique services and products such as:  - Buying specs online with Virtual Try On   - Home Eye Checkup service in 7 cities with over 300+ eye checkups every day at consumer's houses   - 60 Click & Mortar Stores pan India (including tier 2 and 3 cities) as centers for people to get their eyes checked and book orders online as well as get their post-sale adjustments done   - Network of Affiliate Doctors who place orders for their consumers online on the Lenskart platform   Majority of the Lenskart eye-frames and prescription lenses are designed in-house and come to consumer directly from manufacturing to retail. Post a spectacle order is received, each frame is individually fitted with the respective prescription in company's own in-house state-of-the-art (first in India) manufacturing facility before it is dispatched. By owning the process end to end, company not only provides 1 year warranty on all products sold but also a significant 50% price benefit over any other optical chain in India.  When in 2011, the company was selling 30 specs a day online Lenskart raised its first round of funding of USD 3.3Million from IDG Ventures India (IDGVI). In 2013, when the company was selling nearly 200 specs online per day, Ronnie Screwvala led Unilazer Ventures, along with IDG again, invested around USD 8 Million in the company. Today, when Lenskart is making nearly 2000 specs a day- shipped pan India and, has so far shipped over 10 Lac specs across the country. The company has recently raised Private equity investment from TPG Growth of 22 million USD to fulfill its vision to be India's Number One eyewear provider by 2016.  A little bit about the team and culture :  - Young passionate team   - Very numerate and focused on Analytics   - 60 people Tech team in Delhi   - Recently opened a tech office in Bengaluru also   - Experimentative and Jet Speed Execution   - Freedom to execute and take risks   - Obsessed with Customer Happiness and Delight   Position Summary :   - The incumbent shall be responsible for positioning Lenskart as a market leader through the development and execution of marketing communication programs.  Major Responsibilities :  The role will have the following key responsibilities :   - Responsible for managing all corporate and business unit brand communication, marketing communications, and research.   - To partner with the Business Unit Executives to develop business unit marketing plans that align with the company's brand visions and annual plans.   - Ensure new communication campaigns and programs are aimed at reaching sales targets.   - Responsible for Media Budgeting, Planning & Buying, handling relationships with media agencies.   - He/she will manage all brand and marketing agencies to develop and execute specific and measureable strategies in support of these annual plans. Marketing strategies and programs will include a broad range of traditional, online and internal communications.   - He/she will additionally work with corporate departments such as Sales, IT and Legal to ensure brand standards are maintained and consistent throughout the company. He/she will take appropriate action to correct inconsistencies, and work with HR departments to ensure hiring is effective at finding individuals who will effectively contribute to company marketing and/or branding.   - This individual will ensure all market research that is conducted at each business unit is done so in an effective manner.   - He/she must be able to work in a dynamic environment and demonstrate leadership through crisis, and effective strategies that maximize on prosperous times for various business units.  Desired Skills and Experience :   - Oversee for all corporate and business marketing communication and Branding.   - Drive continual process improvements and implement best practices to manage projects efficiently  - Work with the Vice President- Brand & Strategy, other business marketing executives and external agency partners to develop marketing communication strategies in support of business and product marketing plans.  - Manage outside agencies to plan, negotiate and buy media in traditional media outlets and work with the VP Website, Digital Marketing and Social Media to do the same in online media outlets.   - Recommend and lead appropriate marketing research and analytic initiatives to support brand and business building objectives.   - Should have exposure to TV advertising, development of creative & Media Planning.   - Partner with VP Website, Digital and Social Media to ensure online and digital strategies are consistent with off-line strategies and support corporate and business-unit brand objectives.   - Enforce brand standards across business units, ensuring consistency and adherence to the standards and protecting intellectual property.   - Experience in Consumer Brands, Marketing in a B2C environment   Education & Experience :   - MBA from a Premium Institute  - Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in marketing communications.   - Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a marketing communication team   - Experience in successfully building, coaching, and motivating high performing teams while holding employees accountable   Other Requirements :   - Highly developed critical thinking/analysis skills with the ability to evaluate branding and marketing decisions for effectiveness and areas of weakness.   - Have a technology obsession and must see Technology as a game changer   - Be a market maker; must have conceptualized and executed on innovative ways to work with internal teams and relevant stakeholders   - Have strong risk orientation and ability to deal with ambiguity; ability to think through and act on different options with limited available information   - Be hard working and diligent, discipline to convert strategy into action   - Strong business analytics, relationship management, strategy development, project management, problem solving and change management skills.   - Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas to summarize complex issues.   - Be a strong leader ability to hire and develop a very capable, strong team   - Demonstrate cultural fit towards being hands-on, humility and drive a learning environment   - Have impeccable ethics and integrity   Personal Characteristics :   - Passion and commitment   - Strong intellect   - High integrity
