- Our client, a global consulting firm, is working with one of the largest banks in India. They are currently seeking a seasoned Micro Finance Lending Expert to join their team and provide deep expertise in the Microfinance Institution (MFI) lending space.

- The expert will play a critical role in advising teams on strategies to support banking clients in enhancing their MFI lending operations.

- The MFI Lending Expert will serve as a subject matter expert in the Microfinance Institution lending space, focusing on Joint Lending Group (JLG) loans. This role will involve collaborating with teams to develop innovative solutions that drive business growth.

- The expert will leverage their extensive experience to provide strategic insights and guidance on risk management, portfolio optimisation, and customer acquisition strategies.

Key responsibilities:

- Bring deep expertise in MFI lending, particularly in the area of Joint Lending Group (JLG) loans offered by Microfinance Institutions

- Collaborate with teams to advise banking clients on strategies to enhance their MFI lending operations, including portfolio management, risk mitigation, and customer acquisition

- Provide insights into risk management strategies specific to MFI lending, including credit risk assessment, loan portfolio diversification, and collection processes

- Conduct market analysis and assess industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and innovation in the MFI lending space

- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

Experience required:

- Extensive experience in the MFI lending industry, with a focus on Joint Lending Group (JLG) loans

- Strong understanding of risk management principles and methodologies

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

This opportunity will be on an initial 6-month contract. The project's location is Mumbai, where the expert will be expected to contribute to the team's efforts on a part-time basis for 1 to 1.5 days per week in a hybrid setup.
