Legal Treasury - BFSI/ NBFC- Law school graduate and Bar council member

JOB OVERVIEW: This position would be directly involved with the Treasury team within the organization. The role would require providing advice and negotiating all financing related documentation, with banks and other financial institutions. The role will also include advising the company on its statutory obligations and negotiating complex borrowing/ lending transactions

KEY STAKEHOLDERS: INTERNAL

- Finance, treasury, company secretarial, compliance teams

KEY STAKEHOLDERS: EXTERNAL

- Banks, external consultants

REPORTING STRUCTURE: Senior Legal Counsel

QUALIFICATION: Law school graduate and Bar council member

EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in PQE: ideally gained within a top corporate/ bank / financial institution or alternatively, with a reputed firm.

- Ability to analyze complex legal issues

KEY ROLES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financing experience :

- Would be responsible for Treasury related transactions which include domestic and overseas lending and security creation deals.

- Should have experience in negotiating deals to raise funding for different divisions within the company as per internal requirement. Should have prior experience in advising companies or clients on preferred positions to be taken for domestic and international lending transactions.

- Coordinating with external law firms and providing internal advice on various syndicated and structured financing deals.

- Strong verbal & written communication skills; together with a high ability to influence and negotiate

- Proven ability to deal positively when working within tight time pressures & demanding clients

- Sound experience in handling a high volume of activity involving multiple, often complex projects simultaneously
