Legal Manager - Land Dispute (7-18 yrs)

WORK EXPERIENCE: 10 years out of which minimum 8 years must be in hard core real estate and revenue matters, dealing with Government officials and various authorities under land and revenue department. Should adept in handling complex land and revenue matters. Must be proficient in MS office.

JOB DESCRIPTION

(i) Experience in Land and revenue related matters and having working knowledge of the local land laws.

(ii) Co-ordinating with the Group Companies for handling all matters related to land and revenue.

(iii) Verifying the documents and procuring additional documents, if required, from authorities and maintaining database of all land records.

(iv) Drafting of conveyance deed/sale deed or in the alternative co-ordinate with the local advocate for drafting and finalisation of the conveyance deed/sale deed.

(v) Co-ordinating with the concerned team for registration of the conveyance deed/sale deed

(vi) Responsible for issuing and replying to Legal notices and all routine correspondences related to land and revenue.

(ix) Handle complex land matters involving issues under various land laws including but not restricted to title, possession, encroachments, mortgage/ hypothecation, gifts, Trusts, easement, adverse possession, tenancy etc.

(x) Handle the litigations connected with the land and revenue matters, attend court hearings and co-ordinate with lawyers to get the litigation disposed of expeditiously.

(xi) Protection of land (open land as well as factories), tenancies, ownership/ leased flats/ apartments, held by the Company.

(xii) Handling general correspondences with various authorities.

(xiii) Maintaining electronic database of all original land documents and periodically updating the same.

(xvi) Be updated with latest laws and judgments related to land and revenue matters and capable of providing an opinion.

(xv)) Tracking status/outcomes of the cases filed by/against the company and maintenance of case lists, records, and MIS with updation of cases.

DESIRED SKILL SETS:

- High level of Integrity in all the level of works involved would be a prerequisite.

- Must be a team player and have good communication skills and strong business acumen.

- Should be action oriented and should have a passion to deliver results.

- Flexible and comfortable with ambiguity.
