Client is looking for Contract Specialist (Legal professional) with great communication, presentation skills  Designation: Legal Counsel  General Job Description:   - Legal Counsel will ensure that the company operates within the law at all times, offer counsel on legal issues, create an effective guardian of the organization and facilitate business strategies development.   - The successful candidate will be able to ensure legal compliance and limit risk exposure.  Specific Responsibilities:  - Draft agreements that minimize risks and maximize legal rights  - Review and provide legal advice on tender documents  - Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements  - Deal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal and related areas  - Review ongoing cases and advice management accordingly  - Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action have been taken.  - Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management especially on contract management.  - Deal with external parties (regulators, external counsel, politicians, clients) and negotiate with them  - Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly.  - Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the department for executive management meetings.  - Set internal governance policies and manage the impact of external factors  - Anticipate issues and estimate risks strategically  - Identify proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate risks  - Keep abreast of legislative changes  Deliverables:  - Effective Contract drafting skills and closure of transaction related documents.  Desired Profile:  Education:  - BA LLB  - LLM (preferred)  Experience:  - 6-8 years of legal counseling experience in business environment  - High degree of contract writing skills  - Industry knowledge of Infrastructure and related sectors and well-versed in how business operate with financial acumen  - High degree of negotiation and analytical skills  Main Interfaces:  - Business Heads  - CFO  Reports to: General Counsel
