Compliance Officer will serve as the compliance head for all markets that Organization is currently in, with scope to expand to other markets, and will lead the E&C program for the company. He/she will also be responsible for employment matters.

The successful candidate will leverage internal resources within legal, internal controls, finance, audit and HR departments, as well as external advisors, consultants and service providers, as appropriate.

Responsibilities :

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Provide counsel on support development of strategy, delivery and evaluation of the organization's Global Compliance Program. This includes the development and implementation of appropriate policies and controls related to ethics, anti-trust, sanctions control, anti-corruption and data privacy as well as establishment of monitoring procedures to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.

- Building and implementing compliance related programs, such as global due diligence processes, anti-bribery programs, and training.

- Assist with overseeing compliance hotline monitoring, responses, resolution, and reports.

- Monitor and analyze new regulatory and legal compliance requirements; determine relevant impact and recommend and assist with implementation of plans to meet applicable requirements.

- Assist in the development and execution of training strategy; develop and provide in-person and remote training's on compliance-related policies and company values.

- Prepare, update, implement and manage policies, communications and training presentations relating to compliance, and maintain records of communications and training. Provide compliance training to all levels of the organization.

- Manage proper compliance case data management and will be requested to prepare internal reports on trends and analysis for leadership. When required, you will interact with external authorities.

- Provide counsel and advice to business partners regarding the Code of Ethics, and compliance related matters including anti-corruption, conflict of interest, anti-trust, trade compliance, etc.

- Conduct internal investigations of compliance issues, business partner and government inquiries, and handle responses and resolution.

- Assist in M&A anti-bribery and anti-corruption due diligence.

This position will also have responsibility for Employment matters and will be expected to provide expert and pragmatic advice on employee relation matters and to manage all employment related claims and litigation. Delivery of legal training on employment and labour laws applicable to the business will also be required.

Qualifications and experience:

- Preferred law graduate from a premier law school;

- 8-15 years of experience in building and maintaining a compliance/ethics program as an in-house counsel.

- Experience from the IT/tech/fintech sector or from reputed legal firm preferred.

- Excellent command of the English language (reading, writing, speaking).

- Experience in developing markets and the Middle East highly regarded.

- Knowledge of and experience with the Foreign Corruption Practices Act and/or comparable anti corruption rules and regulations strongly preferred.

- Strong business and personal ethics and integrity.

- Strong strategic and analytical capability balanced with innovative, independent thinking and readiness to be hands on to drive success/impact.

- Dynamic and resilient individual with the demonstrated ability and confidence to make decisions and influence senior management, persuade and build consensus across the business and functions.

- Have experience in implementing and developing policies and processes.

- Energetic, proactive, self-starter with an open and approachable communication style.

- Awareness and sensitivity to varied cultures across the region and the ability to adapt program to address these differences
