Manager - Learning and Development

Job Overview:

Learning & Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire L&D lifecycle, from assessing learning needs to evaluating program effectiveness. This includes managing the Digital Learning ecosystem, curriculum development, facilitation, assessment, stakeholder collaboration and would be reporting to L&D Head of the Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Learning Needs Analysis:

- Conduct thorough assessments to identify learning needs and skill gaps within the organization.

- Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to define learning objectives.

2. Strategic Planning:

- Support L&D head in developing a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with business goals.

- Create a roadmap for achieving learning objectives and enhancing employee performance.

3. Digital Learning Ecosystem Management:

- Evaluate, select, and manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Experience Platforms (LXP).

- Oversee the integration of LMS, LXP, Mentimeter, Cloud based labs, Assessment Tools, Udemy, and LinkedIn platforms.

- Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of digital learning tools and recommend improvements.

4. Curriculum Development:

- Design, develop, and curate learning programs and content that align with business goals by working with SMEs and external learning partners.

- Ensure the content is engaging, up-to-date, and reflects best practices in instructional design.

5. Facilitation and Training:

- Lead training sessions and workshops on personal development, behavioral change, and leadership development.

- Develop and deliver engaging and interactive training materials.

- Provide coaching and mentoring to employees to support their learning journeys.

6. Assessment and Analytics:

- Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of learning initiatives.

- Analyze data and feedback to make data-driven decisions for program improvement.

- Prepare and present reports to demonstrate the ROI of L&D programs.

7. Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify learning needs and align programs with organizational objectives.

- Build strong relationships with external vendors and partners for content delivery.

8. Designing Creative

- Build all creative collaterals needed in day-to-day transactional work (like training calendar, invites for training programs, learning dashboards)

- Collaborate with marketing and branding team in creating visibility to L&D function across Org.

9. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

- Ensure all L&D programs adhere to industry standards and compliance requirements.

- Conduct regular audits and quality assessments of training materials and delivery.

10. Employee Engagement:

- Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement in learning activities.

- Gather and act upon employee feedback to improve the overall learning experience.

Qualifications:

- Masters's degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

- Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in managing Learning and Development program, that includes digital learning ecosystems, LMS, LXP, Mentimeter, Assessment Tools, Udemy, and LinkedIn platforms.

- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.

- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills with a track record of delivering impactful training sessions.

- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

- Exceptional project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

- Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

- Hands on proficiency in designing collaterals using tools like Canva

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Certification in instructional design or L&D-related fields is a plus.

- Knowledge on technology landscape related to Big Data architecture is a plus.
