Lead Siebel Manager
Role purpose:
- The Lead Siebel Manager (LSM) is accountable to lead and define the strategy for Siebel development factory team and to that ensure team delivers good quality code/solutions that meet the functionality, security, resilience, and performance requirements of the Customer Centric Stack ( CCS ) solution.
- The LSM is a People Manager to lead a team of Siebel Developers, L3 Support engineers, Test engineers & Other RODOD stack developers & support engineers. The Techno Functional expert on "Rapid Offer Design and Order Delivery" (RODOD) stack would lead team of Factory delivery and look out entire governance where focus area would be on Siebel development and deployment within the CCS Domain and will advise and collaborate with colleagues in architecture and operations teams to ensure the CRM & OM Domain continues to deliver high levels of quality and service to stakeholders. Person will also work as People Manager to majority of CCS Factory Domain team.
- Define career path & learning path for all Siebel engineers & Other RODOD stack engineers motivate them to strive for the best deliveries. The LSM responsible for over-all governance of CRM & OM domain Factory and will contribute to define strategy & design work on the systems, working collaboratively with onshore and offshore teams and will advise senior management within the domain to help drive continuous improvement to Domain function and services and to shape Domain technical strategy.
Job Responsibility
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Lead the team who is responsible for CRM & OM domain Factory team, L3 support and RODOD staff within the domain on Build, correct configuration, deployment, and usage of the systems.
- Accountable to the Domain Lead to plan good functional and non-functional behavior of the platform. Mentor team of developers for optimized solutions, security, capacity, and performance. Support in assess technical risks and issues on the systems. Work with operations and design team colleagues to ensure resolution of technical issues in a timely manner.
- As SME, Contribute to strategy for entire Integration Domain on effective design and implementation on the systems during software design and build.
- Contribute and Empower Siebel & RODOD developer's team to contribute to design and deployment / configuration on the Siebel platform, collaborating with onshore and offshore management and leadership team to deliver design and development activities efficiently by them.
- Work together with others in the management team to ensure good quality and good value is delivered by the Domain to stakeholders and drive continuous improvement of team development practices.
Customers, supplier and third parties:
- Direct engagement with Domain delivery partners at a technical level working with Technical Leads, Designers and Developers.
- Close co-operation with the Business, IT and Technology Architecture & Design community across the organization.
- Expectation management with all internal and external supplier senior stakeholders.
Communication :
- Succinct, meaningful communication that commands respect and confidence that allow rapid and informed decision making at all levels
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
Essential:
- 15+ years of experience with a few years as (senior) Siebel Development Manager.
- Experience in leading lateral roles (architects), team leader, developers & Other engineers and guiding them to right career path in CRM & OM Domain.
- Good know-how on Siebel Architecting and delivery along with other RODOD stack tech.
- All-round practical expertise with CRM Systems, preferably including working knowledge Siebel. Good general technical understanding of telecommunications architecture,
- Ability to communicate effectively within a large software designer/architect team and influence a wide group of internal stakeholders. Experience of working successfully with external delivery teams.
- Well versed with coming up effective strategies to manage technical risks and forecast systems improvement requirements.
- Good general software engineering and problem solving skills.
- Driving capabilities of right methodology into domain. ( i.e. SAFe / Agile ) Well versed with agile tools and hands' on experience.
Experience:
- Degree or higher degree in software engineering or related technical discipline
- Background in Telco environment.
- Engineering knowledge in Oracle's Rapid Offer Design and Order Delivery" (RODOD) solution. Siebel CRM.
Ability to quickly assimilate technical knowledge from outside own area of expertise
