Job Description-

This Operations leader in this role will be responsible for core OTC Derivatives Operations teams in India spread across Gurgaon and Hyderabad responsible for Confirmations, Settlements and post settlements processes and provide utility OTC derivative confirmation and settlement services for non FICC businesses by working in partnership with global process owners and report into the FDCO- Global Markets Leader in India.

She/he will be a key member of the FDCO India Leadership team. The Leader will be managing large teams (~150 - 200) with operations functions that typically have a high level of regulatory risk, client servicing, monetary exposure and reputation/financial loss due to transaction nature and daily production windows, which can impact client relationships.

- The candidate needs to have a strong understanding of the Trade Life cycle with adequate experience in OTC Derivatives operations processes

- Ensures timely and accurate confirmation of OTC Derivative transactions across multiple asset classes via electronic and paper flows

- Manages and mitigates the risks of transactions that remain unconfirmed ddelivering to a set of aggressive internal and external regulatory targets.

- Ensures timely settlement of cross asset class derivative cash flows with clients.

- Ensures timely and accurate reconciliation of settlement activity

- Manages the risk associated to unsettled transactions.

- Drives process improvements, industry initiatives impacting settlements and STP initiatives.

- Develops and implements new processes, systems and participates in strategic planning. Continually reviews roles and responsibilities with Understanding of regulatory and operational risk associated with core processes.

- Ability to manage, coach and mentor large teams comprising of SMEs, the candidate will be expected to understand and challenge team procedures to continually improve and build our operating model

- Deliver best practice operating model

- Responsible for budget/expense management, reporting and forecasting for operations areas managed.

- Responsible for staffing, performance management, talent management and compensation decision making.

- Should possess a beginner's mind set and analytical ability of evolving processes

Requirements-

Education- B.Com or MBA Finance

Experience Range- Overall experience of 20+ years with at least 14+ years of experience in Global Markets preferably in Derivatives operations within an Investment Banking environment

- Strong communication & negotiation skills across all levels of seniority including especially with the Trading desk

- Ability to work autonomously and deliver results in a high pressured environment

- Logical approach to problem solving and ability to priorities multiple tasks

- Proven analytical skills including data reconciliation and interpretation
