Job Location : Chennai

Role : CTO, Life Sciences BU

- The candidate for this position will report directly (solid line) to the BU leader for Life Sciences practice, with a dotted line to Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

- The candidate will be part of CTOs office that aims to promote technology excellence through collaboration, knowledge sharing and networking with CTOs in other BUs.

Life Sciences BU currently serves the following segment of customers:

- Pharmaceuticals and Biotech

- Medical devices

There are six primary areas of responsibility for this role:

- Increase mind-share with customers

- Build strategic and long-term relationship with client IT Directors and CTOs

- Identify opportunities to build new solutions and offerings, based on problems identified in customer domains and define problem statement leveraging offshore CoEs

The Candidate:

The candidate must also meet the following specific qualifications:

- Masters in Computer Science

- At least sixteen years of consulting experience, primarily in a top-flight technology firm

- Possess appropriate business knowledge of the segments we serve such as Clinical systems, Clinical transformation systems, Clinical trial development, Discovery & Pre-Clinical and Regulatory compliance

- Have a point of view on one or more of the following areas : SMAC, Internet of everything, Software defined anything (data centre, storage, networks), Connected Health, Digitization, Master Data Management

- Significant experience in selling technology services to global, as well as regional clients, at CXO levels to global organizations and manage sustaining relationships

- Ability to define strategic direction for Life Sciences practice from technology perspective, to put in place the required elements to achieve this strategy and then conclude it successfully while identifying the best methods of building Life Sciences brand

- Ability to work in a large, global, and highly-matrix environment, to work with a number of disparate groups- both directly and indirectly- to achieve the highest possible impact that can be delivered analysts from Gartner, Forrester, and IDC, to impress upon them Life Sciences BU's capabilities in specific technology areas (such as SoA, Cloud, Mobile, Analytics, and Social)
