Preamble:

We seek an experienced and dynamic individual to lead our Business Development team, primarily focusing on Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the automobile industry. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, an exceptional communicator, and a seasoned negotiator capable of cultivating and managing relationships with key OEM stakeholders. As a Business Development Leader, you will be pivotal in expanding our market presence and driving revenue growth within this critical sector.

Key Accountabilities:

1. OEM Relationship Management: Develop, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target OEM organizations. Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor to OEM partners.

2. Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats within the automobile industry. Utilize insights to shape business development strategies and align them with organizational goals.

3. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute a comprehensive business development strategy tailored to OEMs. This includes setting clear objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.

4. Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive revenue generation by acquiring new OEM partnerships and expanding existing ones. Develop and execute robust sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.

5. Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for both parties while safeguarding the company's interests.

6. Market Positioning: Enhance the company's visibility and reputation within the OEM segment by actively participating in industry events, conferences, and networking activities.

7. Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing business development team, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

1. OEM Partnership Growth: Number of new OEM partnerships secured and expansion of existing partnerships.

2. Revenue Growth: Achievement of quarterly and annual revenue targets within the OEM segment.

3. Market Share Increase: Contribution to the company's market share growth within the automobile OEM industry.

4. Customer Satisfaction: Feedback and satisfaction scores from OEM partners.

5. Contract Success Rate: Percentage of successful contract negotiations and agreements.

Required Knowledge:

1. Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the automobile industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory factors.

2. Business Development: Proven track record of successful business development within the OEM sector.

3. Negotiation Skills: Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.

4. Leadership: Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
