Leader - Technical Architecture (Manager / Senior Manager)  Consults on complex projects and plays a lead technical role on critical projects and services, which may have cross-pyramid impact to provide project knowledge and expertise to key partners  - Directs current system and platform analysis and leverages that information for design decisions  Creates technical solutions based on client's needs and feasibility  - Provides guidance for the development of technical project design and may prepare technical specifications as needed  - Applies a global approach to technical solutions-both within a business area and across the enterprise  - Understands interrelationships and impacts of systems and applications upon the enterprise wide technical environment  - Ensures solutions are of high quality, high performance and scalable  - Creates and follows technical standards and best practices including repeatable processes and deliverables  - Develops strategic plans and provides technical leadership across multiple projects and services end to end  - Maintains a current knowledge of the technology industry and determines the impact of hardware and/or software upgrades on new and existing applications  - Evaluates vendor products for software purchases  - Conducts or oversees proof-of-concept initiatives to prove out solutions  - Create potential alternative innovative solutions and understand their respective trade-offs  - Implement Proof-of-Concept (PoC) and pilot projects with real potential   - Transition successful PoCs and pilot projects into production with other technology team  - Performs R&D as needed and develops standards for new technology  - Participates in project / service planning, estimating and costing  - Communicates project status to all interested parties and ensures team is on track to satisfy client expectations  - Identifies and escalates issues and, when necessary, pulls appropriate teams together to resolve issues  - Prioritizes workload and accomplishes assignments on time, ensuring deliverables are high quality  - Supports/Participates in any talent acquisition activities for technical talent  - Completes all administration in a timely and quality manner.  - Identify/generate opportunities for innovation to create value   - Work with colleagues to understand and jointly evolve opportunities for innovation   - Establish and maintain strategic relationships with other external organizations   - Understanding and following new developments in the digital technology space   - Promote the innovation - mindset- in IDC  Requirements  - Four year college degree  - Twelve + years of hands-on experience in formulation of architecture solution for complex enterprise application  - Strong verbal, presentation and written communications skills for technical audiences; able to explain technical solutions to technical teams  - Good interpersonal, problem solving, reasoning and analytical skills  - Good negotiation skills  - Good planning and organizational skills  - Self-starter with self-initiative and direction  - Team player and willingness to share knowledge and best practice.  - Sets architectural standards and assesses the feasibility of architectural changes
