Job Title : LPS Practice Leader

Job Location : Pan India

Desired Education : Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in Law

Job Profile :

- Experienced corporate attorney to join our growing legal Process services practice.

- Experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing legal contracts with customers, vendors, subcontractors, technology partners, and landlords and developing and administrating policies, procedures and practices for the Client's legal department and the client company.

- She/He will also be tasked with research projects spanning legal areas involving any and all of the legal guidance regarding corporate governance, IP, employment, sales, data privacy, marketing distribution, finance, contracting, etc.

- The Corporate Counsel will work closely with the Sales, Procurement and Operations teams, and with customers, vendors, subcontractors, technology partners, and landlords. Other responsibilities will include participating in projects and initiatives of the Legal Department.

Responsibilities :

- Review, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts including, customer agreements, vendor agreements, professional services agreements, ground handling agreements, SaaS and other software agreements, and non-disclosure agreements

- Determine whether contract requests that vary from the established standards can be accepted or will require additional authorization

- Support stakeholder business needs and respond to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions

- Update and work within client's contract management system

- Assist with developing and improving processes, playbooks, knowledge management and automation across all contract life cycles

- Assist with developing and creating form agreements

- Identify contract initiation, review, and execution and maintenance process improvements, obtain Executive Management approval of changes to process and implement improvements, as needed

- Manage risk through careful consideration of each contract's terms and conditions to prevent accepting unnecessary risks

- Perform other transactional, legal and regulatory duties as needed, including supporting the organization's mergers and acquisitions goals and objectives

- Advising on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different deals

- Researching legal issues that could impact the company

- Assist in providing training to the company on legal topics

- Assist in developing internal legal programs, as assigned

- Assist in regulatory affairs and compliance, as necessary

- Other tasks as assigned

Desired Experience : 14+ years' experience in LPO process of any BPO company

- Any experience of working on US Law will be an advantage.

- Working in US LPO (Legal process outsourcing) is a plus

- 2 to 5 years' experience in a corporate law firm or in house legal environment, robust corporate law internship and externship experience will be considered

- The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision on multiple projects at one time

- Expertise in contract drafting and negotiations especially with respect to vendor and customer contracts

- Clear communicator with excellent written, verbal, and listening skills

- Legal knowledge and ability to assist in examination, review, evaluation and/or preparation of legal documents relating to the business of the client.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to conduct legal and factual research

- Contract and legal research experience

- Experience with automated contract document tools preferred

- Work cross-functionally with teams including, Sales, Procurement, Finance, Human Resources and Operations

- Ability to understand general business operations and issues beyond the scope of basic legal issues
