Leader - Data Science - Financial Services

Our client is one of the leading Financial Services company with captive technology and knowledge process outsourcing center in Bangalore, they are looking to hire Data Science Leader to be based in Bangalore.

Responsibilities :

- Work closely with a diverse set of stakeholders from Marketing, Sales / Distribution, Consultant Relations and Relationship Management teams in the U.S. to understand strategic vision and translate these into a learning agenda to inform the appropriate level and type of analyses

- Assume a lead, hands-on role in the development, evaluation and deployment of revised data-driven client segmentation, next-best-action predictive models, and related machine learning algorithms

- Direct various ad-hoc and ongoing strategic analytics projects, and the tracking / documentation of the Advanced Analytics teams- new and existing models / algorithms and processes as required

- Lead, coach and mentor a team of analysts to reach their full potential within their functions

- Work with relevant stakeholders to scope the project, identify challenges/dependencies and proactively communicate with stakeholders and the project team

Desired Candidate :

- Minimum of 8 years experience using data science and modelling tools such as SAS, SPSS, Python or R against large data sets, with demonstrable expert-level proficiency with at least one of these tools required

- Proficiency in using SQL, Hadoop/Spark for data extraction and analysis

- Experience leverage data visualization tools such as Tableau and Qlik Sense/QlikView

- Expertise in the application of statistical techniques in business settings, such as Time Series decomposition, Multiple linear regression, logistic/logit models, simulation modelling, and survival analysis
