This is a very interesting role for a Vertical Sales Lead (Distribution/ Institutional sales) with a leading Education Company based in Delhi NCR.

This role will encompass establishing the sales team from scratch for a new business line primarily building the distribution network and leading institutional/corporate PSU sales

The Vertical Head will be responsible to develop and implement strategies to deliver annual revenue targets. hiachieving sales targets, pipeline building and forecasting, phasing, planning and execution of the sales pipeline. This role will be a key member of the Sales leadership team and will be responsible for managing a team of Managers/Front Level Sales Executives.

Responsibilities:

- Sales Management - Responsible for overall achieving vertical's annual revenue targets

- People Management- Lead and motivate the team, ensuring a collaborative culture of information sharing to maximize sales opportunities.

- Pipeline and Forecasting- Responsible for building sales pipeline with different states, Institutes, channels, Corporate PSU, and Libraries

- Stakeholder Management- Maintain strong information flow both internally and externally by regular communication with customers/accounts/authors as required and internal stakeholders.

- Networking and Marketing- Ensure proper mapping of State wise selling; Participate in Book Fairs, displays and exhibitions to showcase and increase the sell to end users as applicable.

To fit the bill :

You must have a proven and successful track record of achieving sales targets, managing a sales team, motivating and applying necessary controls to ensure revenue growth. You must have experience of the Indian market managing a sales organization at a senior level.

In addition, you must have :

- Strong understanding of diverse sales channels and markets.

- Thorough knowledge of marketing and merchandising principles and concepts, including brand building strategy and market development, particularly in 2 / 3 tier cities.

- Effective presentation skills to deal / Senior Stakeholder management

Please note this role requires someone with strong distribution network building skills and someone who has done the ground level work in creating his / her own sales network preferably for a newly launched brand. Regular and frequent travel within India for customer visits as required.

Must have skills:

- Minimum 8 years of experience in sales and building a strong distribution network

- Fluent in English/Hindi (written and verbal)

- Bachelor Degree, preferably in Sales/Marketing is required, Master Degree in Sales/Marketing will be an advantage.

- Excellent team handling skills
