This is a leadership role for the sector and is a high impact role to help Wipro expand its business consulting footprint in the Transportation segment. The role holder should be an expert practitioner in Transportation & Logistics and should be able to build the end - to - end capability based on best practices in this industry segment. The candidate should focus on creating new business opportunities and engaging with clients to grow the existing business. He / She should be able to lead and execute new and existing consulting - led engagements and work closely with the center of excellence to help enhance the service offerings and bring the best of Wipro to our clients. Responsibilities: - Consulting Strategy : Define a sound business growth strategy built on industry consulting and technology consulting (digital, analytics and engineering) strengths with higher billing rates and margins. Help in creating new business opportunities & new business wins (pipeline and order book) - Consulting Delivery : Lead and execute high impact consulting programs aligning with client business strategy and roadmap. Conduct workshops with senior stakeholders, drive execution and program manage a portfolio of consulting engagements with a global footprint. - Competency Development : Define a core competency capability building strategy for Transportation & Logistics practice. Drive creation of comprehensive knowledge assets for lateral consultants. Manage geo - distributed consulting professionals across various experience levels, mentoring, career planning. Build reusable process assets to showcase domain capability in the area of Supply Chain. - Business Growth : The role holder is expected to shape, lead and drive transformation engagements by working closely with Global Account Executives, Sector Heads and internal Wipro teams. Lead consulting workshops to create future state functional and solution roadmaps. - Partnerships : Nurture key partnerships based on product/service capabilities, future road maps and alignment with our client needs, with the objective of building competency and business network e.g., product companies, practitioner forums, logistics industry networks etc. - Thought Leadership : Be Wipro's voice and a recognized thought leader across industry forums, partner events and customer interlocks. Publish, speak and mentor on a range of forward - looking topics around Transportation and Logistics. Capabilities needed: Domain Knowledge : - Understanding and Experience in Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding and Parcel Logistics in Transportation industry and / or worked as a consultant to the industry in the Supply Chain or Freight Forwarding or Logistics space. - Good breadth of domain expertise in evolving Supply Chain space encompassing Warehousing & Distribution, Transport Planning & Execution or Freight forwarding space encompassing import, export and customs - Use his/her understanding to improv e project deliverables and spot new opportunities for Wipro. Consultative Sales Skills: - Understanding Wipro's and Clients' requirements - Developing good negotiation and bid strategies - Possessing good prici ng and option structuring skills - Displaying good judgment on when and how to move to closure Business Acumen : - Assessing market potential based on robust data and assumptions - Conceiving 'out - of - the - box' ideas - Using financial tools and metrics to assess feasibility of ideas Planning and Organizing ability: - Visualizing and sequencing tasks in an activity - Anticipating and incorporating possible contingencies - Organizing resources effectively - Completing activities in defined timeframes Capability Management : - Planning future capabilities - Planning capability requirements for the future - Ensuring that Wipro capitalizes on new opportunities - Coordinating with support functions in defining new capability needs and ensuring.
