Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage the research team which is a mix of fresh and seasoned researchers, as well as external partners
- Develop on various research project objectives set and proactively lead the expansion and improvement of various research initiatives
- Create standardised research methodology and frameworks to enable deep dived studies across sectors
- Ensure adherence to the SOPs and streamlined primary and secondary research activities
- Lead consultations with all the key stakeholders
- Drive the overall efforts of the research project to meet the long term vision as well as ensuring delivery on the short term collaterals (short form & long form)
- Provide critical inputs to ongoing programs to enhance their output and overall efficacy
- Prioritise the requirements of various programs to offer the most comprehensive research solutions on the go on all important and current international trade affairs
Functional Details:
- 7+ years experience of leading and managing researchers and processes in an academic institution, consulting service firms, research house, or strategy teams of various trade organisations
- Strong academic and research background with education from a Tier 1 institute in International Trade or Economics (Doctorates and academicians are preferred)
- Extensive experience in researching and publishing insightful collaterals in the international trade, public policy and economics domain with proven proficiency in creating methodologies as well as delivering on the research through primary and secondary methods
- Extremely logical and creative problem solver with eye for detail
- Lead, guide and motivate the team in a dynamic environment
- Efficient with tools and technology with expertise in Microsoft Office Suit, all International Trade Databases and Power BI is a plus
- Well-versed with all research methodologies & forms with superior written and verbal English communication
