Lead Projects will be responsible for achieving the overall project effectiveness for timely completion with desirable quality and safety standards.
Key roles & responsibilities:
- Responsible for design, execution and commissioning of complete Electrical & Instrumentation works for the project.
- Prepare electrical drawings and specifications. Manage project schedules, Manpower, equipment's and budgets for site.
- Put in place systems and processes as required to ensure incident / accident free and safe working on all project activities, monitor these actively through site rounds to ensure nil accidents.
- Understand project requirements from technology provided / user and work on Basic & Detailed Engineering independently and with consultant.
- Monitor progress of basic / detailed engineering and proactively take action to ensure timely completion.
- Estimation and Budgeting of project cost on basis of requirements from user / technology provider.
- Monitor and control actual costs against budgets during implementation to ensure completion within budget.
- Scheduling project work in line with overall project plan, planning work execution with contractors and monitoring progress against plan.
- Proactively taking action to ensure deviations from plan are corrected to ensure on-time completion.
- Preparing project progress status reports on project schedule and cost at required frequency (weekly/monthly) for review meetings.
- Proactively raise issues for decision making to ensure decision before issue affects project cost / schedule.
- Evaluate vendor capability before bidding, technical evaluation of offers / bids from vendors, ensure offers / bids meet requirement technically.
- Prepare techno-commercial comparative statement for assisting negotiation and participate in techno-commercial negotiations.
- Preparing and providing details and drawings as required for statutory approvals.
- Coordinating with statutory authorities to ensure timely approvals.
- Checking, verifying and approving bills to ensure timely payments to vendor.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering Graduate, Full time MBA (optional)
- PMP Certification preferred
- At least ten (10) years' work experience in a similar role of Projects in-Auto Component/ Automobile /Oil & Gas /Chemical industry, overall project cost more than INR 1000 crores.
- Should have multi-locational experience, South India preferable.
- Must have Green Field Project Set Up experience
