Lead - Project Sourcing/Procurement - Solar EPC

Job Title Lead : Project Sourcing Department Supply Chain

Reporting to Head - Supply Chain

Job Objective ;

Job Purpose :

- Ensure timely supply of materials and equipment's to the project site (for both KW & MW projects) within desired quality & cost standards and ensure effective management of purchase orders

- Develop and periodically review project procurement model based on domestic-global trends, best practices, business requirements, internal cycle times, storage capacity etc in consultation with the vertical heads

- Lead identification and facilitate selection of suppliers for raw materials based on BoM requirements for module manufacturing & solar projects

- Regularly track and monitor pricing of the project materials (Civil, Non-Civil, Spares & Consumables) and analyze price movements to develop price forecasting models and feed it into procurement planning

Financial :

- Minimize contingent liabilities and demurrages on account of infringement of contract terms/delayed

- Maximize duty drawbacks where applicable and obtain favourable credit terms with vendors and

- Ensure enforcement of penalties / fees to vendors in case of any deviations from tender agreement

- Leverage multi-site project based on Vikram Solar to attain bulk bargains while being aligned to the organization projects pipeline and key commercial-quality considerations

Process :

- Assist Head – Supply Chain in procurement planning, identification and development of vendors for procurement of Balance of systems parts and other class B and class C items (civil & non-civil items) for Projects; continuously update vendor master database

- Support Head- Engineering Design / Pre- Sales Tech Support teams in obtaining quotes for Bill of Quantities and package lists for all equipment and work aspects based on the RFQ/RFP

- Based on the Detailed Project Report, coordinate with the Projects team to finalize BOQs for the project; Support Project manager in preparation of “Projected Cash flow statement” for the project

- Ensure timely preparation of RFQ / RFP by accurate and timely consolidation of technical and quality specifications provided by the project leads for supplier/service provider selection if no vendor is empanelled

F. Role Requirements / Specifications

Desired Qualifications - BE (Electrical/Industrial Engineering) – Required

Desired Experience - 5 - 8 years of industry experience with more than 2-3 years experience in

Knowledge & Skills :

- BE (Electrical/Industrial Engineering) + MBA (Operations) – Preferred sourcing for Solar EPC / projects organization

- Understanding of the industry and project lifecycle

- Understanding of technical specifications (BoM, BoQ) of projects

- Supplier / vendor identification & relationship building skills

- Excellent contract development / administration skills

- Planning & co-ordination skills
