Role Purpose : Monitor, measure, and report market risk of the portfolio of contracts executed or to be executed by the company regarding LNG business including LNG purchase &amp; sale, terminal capacity purchase &amp; sale, pipeline capacity purchase &amp; sale, hedging deals, options &amp; futures etc. The market risk to be measured in terms of Mark to Market against India Mark and Exposure in terms of Short and Long positions . Key Accountabilities - Develop portfolio risk management system - With support from risk management team, develop a risk management model to measure MTM and Exposure of purchase and sale contracts executed or to be executed for LNG marketing. - In consultation with LNG Marketing, develop an India Mark against which the Mark to Market (MTM) of LNG portfolio will be measured. - In consultation with Commercial, develop the limits against which the MTM and Exposure is to be measured and reported. - In consultation with Finance, develop reporting formats and frequency. - Develop systems and process for reporting MTM and Exposure - Provide alerts on portfolio position and evaluate new deals proposed by LNG Marketing&nbsp; - Update the risk management model with changes in prices, volume, India Mark and send alerts on changes in MTM and Exposure. - Analyze reasons for changes in the MTM and Exposure of the portfolio and suggest measures to reduce risk. - Evaluate the impact of new deals proposed by LNG Marketing with regard to MTM and Exposure and give recommendation to LNG Marketing and Deal Approving executive - Training and skill development&nbsp; - Provide training to other resources in operating the risk management model and managing portfolio risk. - Take training on new risk management tools, processes and best practices in risk management - Record keeping and audit support&nbsp; - Maintain a record of portfolio positions at the end of every month, and analysis &amp; recommendation on new deals for audit purposes. - Engage with LNG Marketing&nbsp; - Maintain strong engagement with LNG Marketing to remain updated on market developments and new deals being planned. - Engage with CEO, CFO, Head Commercial&nbsp; - Engage with CEO and CFO to understand the mandates received from Board, shareholders against which the portfolio is to be measured Key Challenges : - Operate in highly demanding situations due to the short validity of opportunities in the LNG business - Ensure a fully updated model in real time, ready to report position and evaluate deals - Manage expectations of peer group, which can be conflicting at times (LNG Marketing Growth Vs Risk) - Internal facing role, with limited exposure to external stakeholders Qualification : - Bachelor's in engineering / Bachelor's in Science or Commerce with specialization in Mathematics preferred - Experience Experience in LNG industry with good understanding of contracts and operations related to LNG trading, gas marketing, gas transportation, terminal capacity Technical Competencies In-depth understanding of building and operating financial models; comfortable in spending significant amount of time working on financial models
