Lead New Product Development - Dairy Product - Cheese, Butter Milk

- Our Client, a Leading MNC FMCG Company is looking out for a Lead New Product Development - Dairy Product - Cheese, Butter Milk to be based at Baramati, Maharashtra.

Job Location : Baramati

Education & Experience : B.E/B.Tech in Dairy Technology with 14+ yrs experience in R&D, Product Development and Production in the Dairy Industry managing Cheese/ Buttermilk or related dairy products.

Role :

- Work primarily in production plant locations. Develop defined work plans, conduct experiments, and write reports. Develop a basic understanding of the R&D product development SOP. Apply quality tools and explore new project work. Good communication skills, both written & verbal, are required.

- Exercise a good understanding of the product categories, including regulatory standards and labeling practices. Develop a high level of expertise in the Natural and Process Cheese product categories.- Other categories may be included as secondary importance.-

- Serve as a direct (local) point of contact for plant managers and formulations leaders globally. Become intimately involved in new ingredient selection, testing, and implementation. Plan and conduct scale-up trials and support implementation/commercialization of new ingredient technologies.

- Serve as effective R&D, Customer Product Solutions and Process & Natural Cheese POD team member. Accomplish projects and tasks through teamwork with R&D scientists, ENG, EQ, OPS, and SCM partners/teams.

- Identify, explore, and implement the use of new ingredients and manufacturing technologies to improve efficiency, sales, and profitability. Develop products, processes, and technology that are robust and use sound experimental design to validate. Maintain strong application of scientific method.

- Exercise excellent listening and communication skills, such as conveying technical concepts to others, writing detailed technical reports, and effectively conducting presentations to inform and influence decisions of others.

- Apply scientific principles and understandings to evaluate ideas and opportunities. Develop and expand global network of contacts within food & dairy industries, and academia. Apply good business sense to determine applicability to our businesses.

Skill Requirement :

- Strong analytical and dairy/cheese component understanding.

- Knowledge of natural and/or process cheese manufacturing preferred.

- Desire to grow and take on new challenges and opportunities.

- Together with the members of leadership team, ensures compliances with food Safety & Food Quality Plans in addition to customer requirements.

- Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or supports department teams.

- Establishes and audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define & monitor processes to ensure customer requirements are met.

- Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met and determines the appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.
