Lead - IT Infrastructure - Manufacturing

We have an job opening with one of our leading client in Gandhi Nagar location for the position of IT Infra Lead.

Job Description :

- Handling of IT infrastructure operations and all technical escalations from across the Divisions.

- Coordinating and Preparing IT Budget

- Reviews with the local and plant IT team WRT all on-going activities. Preparation of monthly MIS of the team and presenting it to management.

- Develop and implement policies and procedures for all computerized systems

- OEM coordination, POCs, technical negotiations, Presentations & Approval note

- Handling data security

- Handling Manufacture plant IT infra

- Handling IT compliance across the Divisions including software licensing.

- Providing trainings or coordinating with external faculties in arranging the trainings.

- Contribute to the development of IT departmental strategies to align with the overall business strategy as well as corporate strategy

- Oversee all aspects of IT department operations including IT infrastructure, Communication (LAN, WAN, email, etc.), database, backup recovery, regulatory compliance

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT group including downtime, reporting service levels, defining and tracking

- IT operational metrics and provide status to management

- Prepare overall status and activity metrics that documents and tracks delivery of IT services, planned and unplanned system outages, and other key IT performance metrics

- Maintains overall security of the network, systems, and data and ensures high availability of critical business systems

- Owns and maintains strict controls on data/system backups and recoverability

- Develop and manage relationships with vendors in support of staff augmentation and systems support

- Manage overall capacity utilization of Server/hardware environment ensuring it is optimized to meet business requirements.

- Define / maintain an IT operations model that meets the business- strategy, goals, and regulatory requirements.

- Responsible for all infrastructure management and ensuring the 24/7 real-time performance of that infrastructure both internally and externally.

- Document and maintain the IT architecture and operations procedures.

- Maintain crisis management processes. Execute escalation paths and procedures to manage staff during system/network emergencies/crisis. Ensure timely and accurate communications to IT Infrastructure management team.

- Recommend future IT technologies and procedures that will improve service delivery SLA's.

- Recommend strategic direction for Systems, networking, Storage, backups, performance monitoring and capacity planning.

Required Skills :

The candidate will have experience in one of the following areas :

- Proficient understanding of IP networking : Cisco, TCP/IP, Window Server, Network Security, Cloud Servers that includes technical and functional understanding of network security, VOIP, WAN, LAN, and internet routing and switching protocols, wireless and VPN capabilities.

- Demonstrated Data Center /Server Room build out experience (Power, Network, Cooling, etc.)

- Expertise in VMware ESX, SAN, Monitoring tools, and Operating Systems (strong understanding of Windows)

- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and supervise junior members of the team.

- Must possess the initiative to resolve issues before they become critical.

- Strong written communication skills including documentation.

Work Experience & Education :

- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer science, Information Technology or related field preferred with 6 years of experience in IT out of which, at least 1-2 years in a similar role.

- Experienced in contract and vendor management

Certifications :

- IT related certifications (Microsoft, ITIL)

- Optional (CISCO, CISSP, VMware, etc).
