Lead - Finance Data Management & Governance - Investment Banking

Business Data Steward:

Your role :

We- re looking for a Business Data Steward to oversee and manage the integration of Finance data into the firm's data governance framework.

More specifically you will:

- Leverage your business expertise to identify data and related processes that are critical to Finance Data Owners and Key Data Output Owners

- Develop and maintain knowledge of the corresponding data sources, data models and data systems that support data governance objectives

- Work with the Group Data Management Office and Finance IT to gather lineage to meet regulatory commitments and remediate operational risk

- Be the point of contact for data consumers to troubleshoot data issues, and engage with Data Owners and Change teams for effective and efficient resolution

- Advocate cultural change for data management within Group Finance and ensure that new processes are systematically designed in compliance with data management standards and principles

- Manage business priorities while driving process improvements through simplification and automation

- Develop and deliver status updates and presentations to senior management and key stakeholders

Your team :

You- ll be working in the Finance Data Management Office. We support both the Finance Data Sponsor and the broader Finance organization in the design and implementation of our Data Governance strategy. As a Data Steward, you- ll play an important role in turning Finance data into an asset for the organization.

Your expertise :

- Extensive, in-depth knowledge of Finance systems and data

- An awareness of front-to-back data flows and data transformation processes that support end user reporting

- Excellent communication skills that allow you to engage with a wide variety of teams and functions in order to both extract information and drive cross-functional engagement

- Able to successfully manage multiple priorities with deliverables completed on time and to a high standard

- Able to understand and apply new technologies and concepts quickly

- Well organized with strong follow-through capabilities

- Results orientated, concise and methodical, effective as a team worker with strong attention to detail and quality

- Adept at reading and interpreting basic to moderately complex documents such as IT specifications and business requirements documents

- Passionate about driving process improvement and simplification without degrading output quality
