Lead Equity Research Analyst - Insurance

Our esteemed client is a prominent institutional equity sell-side broker with a substantial global presence. They offer a wide range of services to institutional clients, including equity research, sales and trading, and investment banking.

Role Objective:

As the Lead Insurance Analyst, you will analyze companies and sector trends within the Insurance industry. Your role is crucial in collaborating with the Equity Research team to identify investment opportunities, craft high-quality research reports and presentations, and establish strong connections with institutional clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for producing customized and curated notes based on special requests from clients, contributing to revenue generation.

Job Description:

- In-depth Industry Understanding: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Insurance sector and their pivotal trends.

- Investment Analysis: Identify investment prospects and create high-quality research reports and presentations for institutional clients, translating insights into revenue for our client.

- Customized Client Engagement: Produce customized and curated research notes in response to special requests from clients, ensuring a tailored approach to their unique needs.

- Client Relationship Management: Foster and maintain relationships with institutional clients as a trusted source of investment insights.

- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the performance of companies under coverage.

- Client Updates: Regularly provide valuable updates to institutional clients on the companies within your portfolio.

- Client Engagement: Organize and participate in meetings and roadshows, facilitating interactions between institutional clients and company management.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Contributing to Research Excellence: Enhance the overall research output of the Equity Research team.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including company management, industry experts, and institutional investors.

- Innovative Solutions: Identify and develop new research products and services to enhance client offerings.

- Industry Representation: Act as an ambassador for our client at industry events and conferences.

Proactive Responsibilities:

- Proactive Client Engagement: Initiate contact with institutional clients, providing them with valuable insights into the Insurance sector and the companies they are interested in.

- Business Development Support: Collaborate closely with the sales team to generate new business opportunities and ensure exceptional client service.

Education:

Required: CA or MBA

Preferred: CFA

Experience:

- Required: 8-15 years of experience in equity research, preferably with a focus on the Insurance sector

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling and database management.

- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Team Collaboration: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Leadership Experience: Previous experience in guiding and mentoring analysts is a plus.
