Lead Data Scientist - KPO/Research Analytics

Role Description :

- Work closely with a diverse set of stakeholders from Marketing, Sales / Distribution, Consultant Relations and Relationship Management teams in the U.S. to understand strategic vision and translate these into a learning agenda to inform the appropriate level and type of analyses

- Assume a lead, hands-on role in the development, evaluation and deployment revised data-driven client segmentation, next-best-action predictive models, and related machine learning algorithms.

- Direct various ad-hoc and ongoing strategic analytics projects, and the tracking / documentation of the Advanced Analytics teams- new and existing models / algorithms and processes as required

- Lead, coach and mentor a team of analysts to reach their full potential within their functions

- Work with relevant stakeholders to scope the project, identify challenges/dependencies and proactively communicate with stakeholders and the project team

Candidate Description :

- Minimum of 5 years- experience using data science and modelling tools such as SAS, SPSS, Python or R against large data sets, with demonstrable expert-level proficiency with at least one of these tools required

- Proficiency in using SQL, Hadoop/Spark for data extraction and analysis

- Experience leverage data visualization tools such as Tableau and Qlik Sense/QlikView

- Expertise in the application of statistical techniques in business settings, such as Time Series decomposition, Multiple linear regression, logistic/logit models, simulation modelling, and survival analysis

- Practical experience using multivariate and/or ML methods for classification, clustering and estimation, such as Decision Trees, Random Forests, CART/CHAID, Extreme Gradient Boosting, Ridge Regression, PCA and SVM

- Understand the business context and consultatively work with stakeholders to deliver a targeted solution

- Top-notch presentation and story-boarding skills, including the development of presentations appropriate for senior management consumption strongly preferred

- Ability to provide insights and recommendations using strong analytical skills; striving to convince key company decision makers of business benefits of the proposed solutions
