Lead - Data Integrity - Financial Firm

Role Purpose :

- Identify finance data quality issues that impact process adoption and reporting accuracy (in master data or transactional data), and work with country teams to resolve them. Maintain data dictionaries and integrity standards for finance, inputting to end-to-end business process design.

- Company is undergoing significant business change in line with its growth ambition, aligning our operations across different service lines to better serve our clients. This programme includes the optimisation of our business functions and will introduce significant changes to the way finance operates.

- Business adoption of our global finance processes and systems is a key enabler to these changes and therefore the job holder will be collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders at market, regional and group level.

Key Accountabilities :

- Work closely with the Global Process Owners, Reporting Lead, and master data management team in achieving a strong data environment

- Document principles for each master data element, validation rules, rollups, hierarchies, and associated business scenarios

- Collaborate with global teams for the review of end-to-end processes impacting finance data

- Assists with maintenance of data and system mapping documentation, data dictionaries, standard operating procedures, as well as associated end-user training needs

- Design integrity checks through the manipulation of large complex data sets to produce reliable and accurate analysis

- Develop and implement a monitoring process and adequate governance for data quality and integrity of finance data, including the creation of a dashboard

- Perform regular audits on key data elements to evaluate data quality across finance systems

- Partner with market teams to identify root causes and oversee market activities to resolve issues due to data standards (including accuracy or timeliness) or adoption of established processes

- Support activities for data migration and data cleansing activities during system deployments

- Identify opportunities to improve system-based validation rules and other controls to prevent data quality issues

- Provide subject matter expertise in projects that impact on finance data.

Key Attributes :

- Strong data analysis / statistical skills, uses quantitative data to draw conclusions

- Detail oriented, with an analytical mindset, quickly assimilates and digests information

- Presents technical / functional information in a manner that is easy to understand

- Comfortable managing ambiguity and able to adapt to change through influencing others.

- Hands on project management skills required to enable successful delivery of key milestones, including the identification of risks and barriers that require action.

Knowledge and Qualifications :

- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or equivalent ERP

- Experience in data analytical and visualisation tools such as Tableau or PowerBI

- Finance and accounting experience preferred

- Good communication and interpersonal skills specifically: influencing, collaboration, and relationship building skills with country teams

- Fluent English language skills, other languages an advantage but not pre-requisite
