Lead - Data Analyst - Financial Services

Desired Skills:

- Mutual Fund, Financial Services product distribution related functional and domain knowledge

- Demonstrated ability to handle, collate, clean, compile multiple types of data. Experience of handling Big Data and multiple large databases.

- Technical mastery in programming, database management and dashboarding tools such as R/Python/SAS/SQL/HiCharts/D3/MAtlab/Tableau

- Experience in Data Science and Machine Learning projects

- Skills in tools for developing Dashboards and Visualizations

- Experience of having designed and deployed insightful and visually appealing dashboards

- Sufficient knowledge in statistical modelling like Random Forest, SVM, Linear Regression to undertake classification, segmentation, etc.

- Strong Communication & Presentation Skills

- Ability to interact with senior management team and manage junior analytics team

- Should be a self-motivator, a team player and capable of handling small teams

Academic background:

- B.E or MBA or BSc / MS in Statistics/Economics with stellar academic record.

- Executive/Full-time courses from reputed international or domestic or online institutions on Data Science

Work Experience:

8 - 10 Years in Data science / Analytics with domain knowledge in Financial Services distribution (Mutual Funds preferable)

Job Description:

- Lead the data science & analytics projects forcompany's MF distribution & Personal Finance App.

- Understand analytics requirements related to thecompany's app promotion, usage and servicing

- Design information architecture and corresponding data requirements

- Design statistical models and analytical reports & dashboards

- Liaison with the company's management team to assimilate thecompany's strategy and activities

- Prepare requirements documentation for planned dashboards, analysis

- Liaison with IT dept to get data for building statistical models and analytics

- Prepare statistical models and dashboards as per design specifications provided by users & business heads

- Liaison with external consultants / vendors for undertaking analytics projects

- Manage data science and analytics team to carry out some of the above tasks.
