Lead - Credit & Underwriting - FinTech

Position: Lead - Credit & Underwriting ( AVP / Senior Manager) for Fintech Industry

Location : Gurgaon

Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Credit Analysis & Underwriting of target companies and recommend investment decision to the Board

2. Perform credit evaluation and underwriting of target companies.

3. Assist and coordinate with credit team of lending partners (E.g. NBFCs, Banks etc.) with credit evaluation queries for target companies

4. Risk assessment of target companies, based on research and evaluation of financial statements, operational parameters, performance track record, and other aspects

5. Prepare credit memo and support business development team in presenting the potential deal to the Credit Committee. Highlight credit observations, red flags, and monitoring areas along with the decision rationale to the Committee

6. Monitor portfolio of existing lessee partners periodically by analysing the latest financial information, operational metrics, and developments in the business,

7. Perform ad hoc analysis and assist other teams (such as liabilities, business development, wealth, etc.) in projects/tasks as requested, depending on the business needs

8. Continuously develop and polish skills useful for the job profile by attending trainings, informative webinars, etc.

9. Work with legal team and business development team to review term sheets and transaction documentation of target companies

Requirements:

1. MBA/CA with 6-10 years of experience in Credit Underwriting in the leasing OR financial services industry (asset leasing companies / banks / NBFC / rating agencies / Venture Debt firms)

2. Understanding of credit risk management, financial analysis, due diligence etc.

3. Excellent stakeholder/people management skills (both internal and external)

4. Superb communication and negotiation skills

5. Ability to build, scale and improve processes

6. Ability to work in a dynamic and agile environment

7. Demonstrated ability to think creatively, propose novel solutions, and solve complex challenges
