Lead - Credit & Operations - NBFC

This position is accountable for the operations of the Loan Department, credit operations, and for providing accurate, efficient, and professional service to customers; for maintaining loan operations and records in a manner that meets NBFC as well as legal and regulatory requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Supervises note preparation, documentation, funding and other services used by loan customers.

- Organizes and directs work of Loan Department. Assigns tasks, ensures timely and accurate output and maintains established controls, manages the distribution of workflow to minimize overtime.

- Develops and maintains written policies and procedures and utilizes them for training, guidance and reference. Completes reports and various other documents, and ensures all supervisory deadlines are met timely. Ensures department personnel follow established policies and procedures.

- Coordinates work and activities of Loan Department with that of the other departments of the NBFC.

- Working with LMS, LOS etc.

- Maintains the loan records in such a manner that meets Statutory audit and regulatory requirements

Required skills & work experience

- The self-driven individual with interest in setting up the systems, improving the processes

- Loan accounting/ operations/mortgage documentation, credit validation and disbursals, banking and accounts, record keeping etc

- Thorough understanding of credit documents checking

- Understanding of fraud controls preferable

- Relevant work experience of 6-10 years in Credit operations of a Bank / NBFC
