Lead Creative Designer - Consulting Firm (6-9 yrs)

We are recruiting Creative Lead Designer (Team Lead) in the Marketing Services team. Within Marketing Services, candidate will be working for CREATE team which is recognized as creative output leader to the UK firm.

As Creative lead designer, you will work with CREATE Leadership to provide creative and conceptual guidance to the team. Taking accountability of the quality and timeliness of outputs from, leading and mentoring designers to deliver an effective, efficient and high-quality creative service to the UK business. Build strong relationships with UK business leaders. Lead and mentor cross location teams to deliver professional service excellence. This position requires an ability to work under pressure and maintain a professional manner at all times is essential.

Key responsibilities

- Work with CREATE Leadership and core creative team to develop and deliver creative, strategically considered design work across all print/digital channels

- Challenge, interpret and answer design briefs with clean, impactful, intelligent work

- Lead and develop designers - promotion, positioning, undertaking feedback sessions and acting on them. Coach and develop team members to enhance overall skills and identify both group and individual training needs

- Be accountable for creative process start to end

- Understand debrief / feedback sessions and be able to act upon this to improve the team

- Ensure innovation is cultivated within the department to drive new opportunity

- Ensure client service, consistent quality of output, and meet the agreed Service Level Agreement and best practice guidelines

- Interact with users of the service, gathering feedback and requirements and raising awareness of the service across CREATE team

- Develop and implement strategies and tools for further enhancement of service

Job Requirements :

Skills required :

- Excellent knowledge of the design, document production and print processes

- Proven coaching and leadership skills with competent people management ability, able to influence others and support organisational change

- Demonstrates excellent communication skills. Candidate should be confident and effective in communicating with staff at all levels of seniority

- Able to manage client expectations and offer alternative suggestions to meet client demand

- Professional, confident and enthusiastic team player with a flexible can-do attitude

- Ability to remain calm under pressure

- Excellent work ethic and the ability to thrive in a time-sensitive environment Flexible and adaptable to fluctuating workflow levels

- Ability to form networks with staff at all levels and influence effectively

- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing and growing business environment

- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise an often conflicting workload

- Exceptional at problem solving (solution driven)

- Have excellent project management and people management skills

- Expertise in the following software:

- PowerPoint

- InDesign

- Photoshop

- Illustrator
