Lead- Compliance Advisory


Overview:

As the Vice President/DVP of Risk and Compliance at our NBFC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the company operates within the regulatory framework and manages risks effectively. This leadership position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in risk management, compliance, and regulatory affairs within the financial sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Risk Management:

- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies and policies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with NBFC operations.

- Conduct regular risk assessments and stress tests to evaluate the company's exposure to various financial, operational, and regulatory risks.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish risk tolerance levels and ensure compliance with internal risk policies.

Compliance Oversight:

- Stay abreast of regulatory developments and ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.

- Design and implement compliance programs to monitor and enforce adherence to regulatory requirements.

- Coordinate with legal and regulatory affairs teams to address compliance issues and implement corrective actions.

Policy Development:

- Formulate and update policies and procedures to align with changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

- Ensure that employees are well-informed about compliance policies through training programs and communications.

Audit and Internal Controls:

- Oversee the internal audit function, ensuring that audits are conducted in accordance with established standards and timelines.

- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.

Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, the board of directors, and regulatory authorities on the company's risk profile and compliance status.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of policies, procedures, and compliance activities.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and legal, to ensure a holistic approach to risk management and compliance.

- Provide guidance to business units on compliance matters and support the implementation of risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- A bachelor's degree in finance, business, law, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CRCM, CAMS, FRM) is highly desirable.

- Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in risk management and compliance roles within the financial services industry, with a focus on NBFC operations.

- Strong understanding of relevant financial regulations, industry standards, and best practices.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across different functional areas.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex risks and provide strategic recommendations.
