Lead - Category Management (Brand Management) (Food Retail Business)
Overall purpose of job:
The incumbent will be responsible for developing and growing the specific category - and drive incremental revenue for a well renowned client in food retail business. It involves strategic thinking as well as project management
Tasks and Responsibilities:
The tasks and responsibilities (not limited to) are as below:
Category Management :
- Lead the strategy & thinking for the specific business category
- Drive the new product development process from idea to launch; own the NPD process
- Analyze market trends and competitive data to identify opportunities and make recommendations for maximizing revenue and profitability
- Monitor the brand health measures - market share, consumer stickiness, geographic dispersion, etc.; identify gaps, areas of improvement to enable data-backed decision making
- Lead the product mix (pricing, SKU's, combos) and support product development team
- Own the packaging design development process in close coordination with the brand and communication teams
- Work alongside consumer research team and agencies to better the customer/product understanding
- Develop and Lead the execution of Marketing Plans
- Ensure timely implementation of the brand activity calendar
- Approve & Execute Media Plans
- Identify and draw corrective actions for the brand basis research
- Advertising & Media
- End to end creative executions from brief writing to deployment of creative assets in consultation with the Brand team
- Identify and deploy any other communication needs for the brand
- Regularly survey and understand consumer & market environment to understand trends
Digital :
- Create and execute online presence strategy & user experience across platforms
- Content Strategy and Execution across digital platforms
