Job Summary :

- The position available is for an Analyst to cover the Mid-Cap sector within the India Equity Research team. based in Mumbai.

- The selected candidate will cover companies and sector trends in the Mid-Cap industry.

Responsibilities:

- The Lead Analyst will have primary responsibility of a group of stocks in the Mid-Cap sector

- Responsibilities include: building financial models, writing research reports, communicating our team's ideas to institutional investors, conducting due diligence

- Our Client focuses on delivering high quality investment insights to investors on a global basis with a high emphasis on independence and objectivity in its products and insights

- The team produces regular written research, hosts investor meetings with company management teams, holds conference calls with industry consultants and regularly communicates with clients (both internal and external)

- Modeling: Maintaining & updating existing company models; creating new models; maintaining relative value sheets

- Research: Assist with the publication of earnings previews/recaps, initiation reports, deep dive notes as well other group products

- Communication: Assist with client inquiries and requests (internal and external)

- Events: Assist with coordination of investor meetings (management meeting & field trips) and conference calls with consultants

Education :

- CA or MBA

- A CFA - would be an advantage.

Experience :

4+ years experience in equity research.

Skills :

- Strong modelling and database skills are essential

- Demonstrated ability to write high quality, evidence-based projects or reports

- An inquisitive nature and the ability to think logically whilst expressing your views in a clear and engaging manner

- Willingness to promote your ideas and work to a variety of stakeholders

- Creative Thinking: Ability to generate new ideas and possibilities, and to see business opportunities from a novel perspective

- Consulting Skills: Ability to provide business-related added value, including innovative approaches and new or improved solutions
