As a lead analyst, you will be responsible for leading one or multiple work streams for a client either independently or by working with a combination of analysts. Lead analysts play a pivotal role in scaling the delivery capability of our organization, mobilizing, leading and directing team's efforts in delivering great customer experience. You are passionate in learning and experimenting with data science algorithms, programming frameworks, libraries and select approaches and algorithms suited to best solve business problems at hand. You demonstrate strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and communication skills. You are a great storyteller using math and numbers. Key Responsibilities Client engagement skills - You build relationships with clients to better understand their business and enable them make better decisions by using data and analytics - Your work with clients to understand their business problem, convert and articulate the problem with an analytics framework - You collaborate with clients to develop and present insights and recommendations with tangible business impact; engage clients to improve consumption of deliverables, to track and measure impact of analytics work on business - You consult, engage, advise clients- on what else and what more could be done to positively impact the business - You provide great customer experience - be a reliable, trusted partner and advisor - You are a subject matter expert on application of machine learning models to solving business problems, engage client stakeholders on appropriate forums to establish the company as thought leader in this space Core Functional (machine learning) expertise - You lead/participate in delivery of pilot and ongoing projects/engagements - You convert business problem into an analytical problem by assessing available data sources and data sets - You design and evaluate relevant analytical approaches, tools, techniques to solve the business problem - test hypotheses, design and develop KPIs (as per requirements) - You lead the team in evaluating relevant machine learning techniques and choose /propose a champion model; improve machine learning models in terms of accuracy/robustness - You analyse, assess findings, generate insights and present recommendations: in the form of reports, dashboards, and /or excel, power point documents - You lead the team in process improvement / automation to increase productivity - You are an internal subject-matter expert /Go to person for machine learning techniques - You buddy up with junior members of the team to upskill them - You stay updated on applicable machine learning techniques and their associated programming methods /Ability to pick up newer programming / newer libraries Project Management Skills - You independently plan and execute key projects including last mile to delivery - You participate and actively contribute in review meetings - You deliver excellent client experience by adhering to procedures like communication protocols, operational practices / procedures, regular project updates, and advising clients on what else/what more can be done, what can be differently done Experience: - 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in data science discipline - Ability to apply first principles and structured approaches to problem solving as opposed to relying excessively on past domain expertise alone - A strong appreciation for Math, Business and Technology - A strong quantitative mindset: passion to work with numbers - At least 3 years in modelling and deploying analytics solutions with clients - Ability to communicate story with numbers, so what and next what - Project management experience for at least 2 years: plan, execute, track, close and communicate Qualification: - BE / B. Tech Masters / Bachelors in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science - Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline, preferably Mathematics/Statistics or similar will be an added advantage You must have signalled your passion, your hunger in the form of industry recognized ML certifications (Coursera, Udemy, Datacamp etc) and/or Github profile-projects, any hackathon rank/performance, blogs, white papers
