Lead Analyst - Advanced Analytics - Management Consulting Firm

Hiring Lead Analyst for a global management consulting firm:

- You will work closely with consulting teams on a diverse methodologies to deliver value to the organization's Consulting (case) teams and Practice Areas (domain) range of advanced analytics topics. You will have the opportunity to leverage analytical through providing analytics subject matter expertise, and accelerated execution support.

- You will collaborate with case teams to gather requirements, specify, design, develop, deliver and support analytic solutions serving client needs. You will provide technical support through deeper understanding of relevant data analytics solutions and processes to build high quality and efficient analytic solutions.

YOU'RE GOOD AT :

Rapid Business requirement gathering and Analysis :

- Working with project stakeholders to identify business needs and gather requirements for data analysis or deployment of already existing advanced analytics solutions and BI tools

- Collaborating with project team members in drafting prioritized business requirements documentation, including scope definition and statement of work

- Managing team on projects while working with case teams, ensuring execution and being responsible for overall quality

- Leading communication and managing workflow to ensure the case team's satisfaction

- Reviewing and assessing the relevancy of documents in an existing topic/sector related knowledge base

- Establishing oneself as a go-to expert for case/topic teams; Guiding case teams in selecting an analytical approach; Being the Brand ambassador for analytics (Proposals, Demos, PoCs, Networking with case teams, etc.)

- Owning analytical workflow and quality of output

- Providing mentorship to your own/working (i.e., project) team members

- Assisting on designing the onboarding schedule, & providing day to day apprenticeship & coaching for analysts with guidance from Analytics Expert, Team Manager

- Being Involved in Analyst and Senior Analyst recruiting process where needed

Functional Skills:

- Selecting and integrating any Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide requested capabilities

- Implementing ETL process(s) across on-premise and cloud architectures

- Monitoring performance and advising any necessary infrastructure changes

- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment

Thinking Analytically :

- You should be strong in analytical solutioning with hands on experience in advanced analytics delivery, through the entire life cycle of analytics. Strong analytics skills with the ability to develop and codify knowledge and provide analytical advice where require

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) :

- Undergraduate or Masters degree in a field linked to business analytics, statistics, economics, applied mathematics, computer science, engineering, operations research, or related field is required, an advanced degree is preferred

- At least 7+ years of relevant industry work experience providing advanced analytics solution in a commercial setting or around 4-6 years of consulting experience

- Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles

- Management of Spark clusters, with all included services - various implementations of Spark preferred

- Ability to solve ongoing issues with operating the cluster and optimize for efficiency

- Understanding of prevalent cloud ecosystems and its associated services AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud. Expertise in at least one.

- Experience with building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Storm or Spark-Streaming

- Good knowledge of Big Data querying tools, such as Pig, Hive, and Impala

- Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources

- Experience with NoSQL databases, such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB

- Knowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworks, such as Flume

- Experience with various messaging systems, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ

- Experience with Big Data ML toolkits, such as Mahout, SparkML, or H2O

- Good understanding of Lambda Architecture, along with its advantages and drawbacks

YOU'LL WORK WITH :

You will report to the Analytics Expert, Team Manager, and you will work with the case team on client projects.
