Accountabilities Cluster Major Tasks - Ownership Planning of product roadmap for In-house OS and In-House APK on LAVA devices, to keep the software experience relevant for the end user - Plan, Implement ways to increase the software stability and reduce the failure rate originating from Software - Owner for user requirements for the products of LAVA by gathering, documenting the requirement from Quality, Factory, Testing as well as Product - Develop detailed design document for new feature set by researching, prototyping, designing, assisting in the technical implementation, project delivery, stakeholder management, analytics by learning - Creating Value Develop Software feature USP for every new product and introduce it ahead of mass launch by other brands - Creating Value Generate relevant ideas, develop and implement in running products to increae the lifecycle of products - Communicating Value Suggest ways to train stakeholders to communicate the value of the USP, software stability - Customer profiling Meeting end consumer to understand device usage habits, pain points and delight factors - Understanding the in-house analytics reports and consistently reducing the experience related service calls by improving the UI/UX, other pain points - Ecosystem &amp; vendor management Study/Benchmark Stock AOSP as well as Custom OS from competition and recommend best practices and features in OS as well as APKs - Build/Partner with 3rd party vendors in creating integrated solutions to address consumer problems - Leadership/Team building Hire, On-board, Train and lead team of individuals to build the Software Product vertical at LAVA Major Challenges - Develop a team from scratch to build this vertical within LAVA - Work with cross-functional teams to improve the performance of devices as at the moment, LAVA's major selling products are on lower memory but end consumer doesn't understand and punishes the brand/product for slow performance - Develop an ecosystem with software vendors/in-house team to customize products not for India as a country, but for every major section of target customers 5. Skills and Knowledge Education Qualification - B.Tech. (Computer Science, Electronics, Communication Systems, Electronics and Telecommunication, Electronics and Communication) - M.Tech. or M.S (Computer Science, Preferable but not mandatory) Relevant Experience - 7+ years of experience - Understanding of Android OS, Linux - Programming languages JAVA, C/C++ - Experience in conceptualizing, researching, prototyping, Design document creation - Experience of coding Android applications
