Larsen & Toubro - Executive Assistant to Group Executive Chairman (3-8 yrs)

The importance of the position is best described by Mr A M Naik himself in an interview to Business Standard on February 21 2014, where he said - I am personally mentoring 19 people today. I need only two executive assistants, but I have 13. I am training people who may be relevant only 10-12 years later.

Education Qualification - Engineering Graduate (Full time / Executive MBA from premier management institute)

Experience - 5 to 10 years post Engineering Experience in the Engineering Industry with exposure to key Functions & Domain industry experience.

Job Involves:

- Interaction at the apex level.

- High-impact decision making.

- Apex-level involvement in projects of great magnitude, complexity and speed.

- Strategic and Operational initiatives

- Corporate functions and interactions with operating businesses to enable effective co-ordination of various activities and provide relevant information and assistance to the Chairman.

- Analyzing and understanding the economic and business environment.

- On developing a good degree of business acumen as an Executive Assistant, the incumbent can look forward to working with business leaders in L&T's various businesses, after around a year

Competencies Required:

- Excellent communication skills

- Flexibility

- Ability to multitask

- Meticulousness

- Good teamwork

Age: less than 33 years

Desirable Skills and Experience:

- Excellent pedigree

- No gap in education and no backlogs in education

- Good communication skills

Candidates from Real Estate/ Shipbuilding/ Electrical & Automation/ Heavy engineering background will be preferred

Candidates from Sales/Marketing/Business Analyst domain will get weightage.

The person selected will represent one of the IC's or corporate function from Chairman's office. She/he will be under direct supervision and mentoring from the Group Executive Chairman - L&T.
