Job Description :
Role : Senior Manager - Commercial Department: Corporate Finance
Grade : M2 Location: Corporate
Education : CA / ICWAI / MCom / MBA
Reporting to : Head Corporate Finance
Experience : 10 -12 years of experience in Non trade Buying (Capex and Opex) preferably in Retail, FMCG or Pharma industry
Summary :
To drive and manage the commercial aspects of key projects (Store openings and major renovations), drive efficiency in Non-trade buying and Annual Maintenance Contracts) in delivering the business growth
Key Responsibilities :
Department operations
- Supporting business, understanding the demand and need of the Projects team to set SOP on clearing Tenders, negotiation, closure of Bills/capex as a full cycle.
- Regularly monitor, review and report on progress of all projects to President Finance & Sr. VP Project
- Leading the tendering process, evaluation of quotations and finalization of vendors & pricing.
- Process advances, running bills, final payment, timely capitalization
- Advise the buyers on changes in custom rules and other benefits through duty concessions, labeling and free trade agreements
- Cater to internal (Buyers & end users) and external customers and vendors
- Deliver the SLAs on PO issuance, advance release, payments to vendors, capitalization.
- Monitor and maintain Non trade (consumables) stock to save cost and ensure timely availability
- Cash requirement forecasting for capex to be provided to Treasury for planning funds availability.
- Identify opportunities for improving processes, reducing cost for capex/non-trade items and AMCs through new ideas e.g. reverse auction
Process improvement :
- Improve TAT of POs
- Strive for continuous improvement of the department processes including streamlining and automating processes to enhance controls and visibility
Sharing of knowledge :
- Educate, share and impart tax related knowledge with project / internal costomers, PO team and vendors for clarity in tax applicability
General :
- To act as an ambassador for Lifestyle at all times and to ensure Corporate values & Code of Conduct are upheld to both external and internal contacts, through appropriate behavior and performance.
- To consult/work with other senior management on specific initiatives as required
- To undertake any other duties as requested by Senior management team, in accordance with the scope and responsibilities of the role.
