The Retail Analyst will play a crucial role in gathering and analyzing data, developing insights, and providing recommendations for improvement. This position requires a detail-oriented and strategic individual with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced retail environment.
Data Analysis:
- Collect, organize, and analyse sales data from various sources to identify patterns, trends, key performance indicators, and areas of improvement.
- Use data-driven insights to support decision-making processes.
Process Mapping:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to map and document existing business processes.
- Identify areas for process optimization and improvement.
Requirements Gathering:
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for new initiatives or process improvements.
- Ensure that requirements are aligned with business objectives.
Performance Metrics:
- Develop and maintain performance metrics and dashboards to monitor key business indicators.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
- Develop and present reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Root Cause Analysis:
- Conduct root cause analysis of business challenges or inefficiencies.
- Propose solutions and process enhancements to address identified issues.
Continuous Improvement:
- Actively contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and champion opportunities for operational excellence.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and competitor activities.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Marketing, Finance, and IT, to understand their business needs and challenges.
- Facilitate communication and alignment between departments.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain documentation related to business processes, requirements, and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure that documentation is accessible and up-to-date.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field.
- Preferred MBA
- Proven experience as a Business/ Retail Analyst, preferably in the retail or fashion industry.
- Experience with Data analysis tools in a retail environment.
- Knowledge of industry-specific trends, consumer behaviour and best practices.
