Head of Analytics (Retail)
Role Synopsis :
The job holder will be responsible for setting up the Analytics - Centre of Excellence under the Vice-Chairperson's office of Landmark Group across Middle East, Africa and Indian Subcontinent with a diverse portfolio of fashion retail, furniture retail, electronics retail and hospitality brands.
Key Responsibilities :
- Drive the delivery of analytics roadmap including fine tuning the time plan, deliverables and engagement model with business
- Lead the design and delivery of analytical solutions across all retail functions and units within Landmark Group (LMG) as per the mandate received from LMG Vice-Chairperson/or Board and CEO's of LMG retail units by leading a 12+ member team in Year 1 and growing it to around 30 in Year 3 based on tangible topline/ bottom line impact delivery.
- Work with Head of Strategic Projects to define the overall analytics strategy and implementation roadmap
- Work with LMG Vice Chairperson/ or Board and CEOs of LMG retail units to identify business opportunities for optimizing business decisions through analytical modeling
- Prioritize analytics projects and allocate projects based on team member skills and stakeholder expectations
- Manage multiple projects effectively by defining clear timeplans, milestones & deliverables
- Provide thought leadership & technical advisory to ongoing analytics projects
- Collaborate with LMG IT to set up best in class analytics IT infrastructure
- Drive operational excellence and knowledge management practices to increase team productivity
- Coach and mentor juniors in the team and lead recruiting efforts
- Hire, train, and supervise 12+ member analytics team in Year 1 to support all retail functions and units within LMG. Scale up the team to around 30 in 3 years based on value delivered
Experience :
- Minimum 12 years of analytics experience in international Retail/CPG industry covering 3 or more areas :
a) Merchandising analytics
b) Marketing/ Loyalty analytics
c) Supply Chain analytics
d) Store/Warehouse operations analytics
e) Web analytics
f) HR analytics
- Exceptional analytical skills and expertise in analytical techniques, tools & solution designing
- Experience of working onshore and offshore to support executive decision making for topline/ bottom line impact
- Experience in leading teams of 15+ members with proven track record of building and growing strong teams
- Experience in managing CXO level stakeholders and influencing management to drive analytics in their business areas
- Experience in managing mid to large size projects with teams working from different locations/countries
- Open to Travel as required (Up to 20% of the time)
