Lead - FMCG (Food) is responsible for category coordination with stores and central team overseeing sales and margin delivery for FMCG (Food) categories across the country in alignment with the 4 pillars of SPAR - Value, Choice, Freshness and Service across all SPAR Hypermarkets across the country and reports into Head - FMCG.
Authority: This position is accountable for:
- Implementing buying and merchandising strategy across FMCG (Food) categories with a view towards achieving sales year on year focusing on margin.
- Ensuring close coordination with store operations, regional category teams and all other functions.
- Adherence to annual budget and financial performance for the FMCG (Food) categories across Hypermarkets in the country and ownership of the P&L
- Provide inputs on Price Benchmarking of the FMCG (Food) categories, perform competition benchmarking and implement retail Best Practices and commercial processes.
- Engaging and handling vendors in the FMCG (Food) categories across the country.
- Control Shrink and dump across all FMCG (Food) categories in coordination with regional teams
- Drive category sales growth & profitability and customer engagement through shopper-focused solutions across range, space management, pricing & promotions.
- Leading and engaging the human resources of the FMCG (Food) category teams with responsibility of their recruitment, training & development, career progression and retention
Responsibility/This position is primarily responsible for:
- Responsible for achieving and surpass sales, margin delivery and monitor and control of shrink & dump for the FMCG (Food) categories across regions.
- Measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the FMCG (Food) Category.
- Working in collaboration with the Store Operations Team, regional Category teams & support functions to implement FMCG (Food) category objectives
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, SOP's designed to accommodate objectives of the organization.
- Responsible for creating seamlessness across the FMCG (Food) categories including reporting across all metrics to the management
- Create excellence across the FMCG (Food) categories in all processes.
Span: Lead FMCG (Food) categories overseeing a headcount of 2-3 employees across FMCG (Food) divisions.
