Responsible for assisting sales teams in the sales process and interacting with software technical teams for software estimation and project execution.
- Pre-sales capabilities: Software estimation, architecting solutions, assessing and defining project scope, and developing proposals in response to bid requests.
1 Opportunity generation
- Assist sales in generating and evaluating opportunities with prospects and customers.
- In conjunction with sales, participate in ongoing customer interaction for demand generation and follow-on business.
2 Qualification of requirements
- Opportunity assessment that includes interviews with prospects and customers to determine whether the opportunity is addressable by the company, worthwhile for the company to pursue, etc. from a technical standpoint.
- Opportunity assessment also includes an assessment of financial and operational aspects of the opportunity as well.
3 Solutioning
- Project effort estimation, solution architecting, and technical proposal preparation.
- Interacting with technical personnel to scope opportunity, architect possible solutions, and prepare technical parts of the proposal consisting of effort and time budgets.
4 Response preparation
Assist sales in preparing the response with:
- information on the proposed solution, effort and time estimates.
- descriptions of the engagement models and / or phased implementation plans proposed.
- project costing data, terms and conditions and other financial and contractual aspects of the response.
- any other information relevant to closing the opportunity.
by interacting with other individuals in the organization (delivery, etc.) for assistance and validation on the key aspects of the response.
5 Solution presentation and customer interactions
- Assist sales in the selling and closing of the opportunity.
- interact with customers / prospects for iterative discussions and refinement of the response.
