- An opportunity to work in a German based asset manager with AUM of $300+ mn (at its Mumbai office) which invests across multiple asset classes and sectors globally. - The role involves working besides a local team of equity analysts to support the Portfolio Manager (PM) in the daily work and helping in the technical analysis on equity, currency &amp; commodity markets/instruments. - Generating short term (intraday) and long term ideas to the PM. - The Analyst will be measured over and through time of the efficacy of investment ideas and recommendations. Responsibilities: - Maintaining trading documentation, creating weekly performance reporting. - Tracking and monitoring our existing portfolios for relevant movement and technical signals. - Preparing and maintaining technical analysis and reports of assigned global markets and instruments, such as S&amp;P500, DJIA, DAX, EURUSD, Crude Oil, and Gold. - Monitor and maintain the research database on a regular basis. - Generating new ideas for continuous improvements in trading systems and technical trading rules. - Back testing trading ideas and investment philosophy on historical dataset. Preferred knowledge / skills: - Keen interest in global financial markets and technical analysis research. - Passionate about global stock and/or commodity and currency markets. - A self-learner who would spend the time to gain an in-depth understanding of technical analysis rules and concepts as well as concepts around mass psychological behavior. - Willingness to improve independently technical skills to create an own toolbox as a technical analyst. - Ethical, Honest, Hardworking, able to work in a team environment. - Any progress towards CFA/CMT would be an advantage
