Job Description

Position Title: Retail Operations Manager

Grade: Manager /Sr. Manager

Department: Operations & Sales

Reporting to: COO

Location: GGN

Objective:

- To support the achievement of the company's sales target and objectives through achieving excellence in retail operations

- This will apply for our franchise boutiques, SIS and own boutiques

- Also manage VM & Training teams

Responsibilities & Key tasks:

Management/Operations:

Own boutiques:

- Responsible for measurement achievement of KPI like: stock turn, conversion rates, average bill value, items per bill.

- Handling with the mall developers/Landlords for smooth boutique operations.

- Recruitment, training, staff discipline and product security

Franchise/SIS/Corners boutiques:

a) Work with sales execs and franchisees to achieve same set of KPIs mentioned above and increase same store growth.

b) Sale collection, ensuring timely payment by the business partner and account reconciliations.

- Definition and enforcement of retail standards.

- Customer service levels, setting benchmarks and measurement (MSP Scores)

- Administrative work/coordination pertaining to the boutiques on Pan India basis

Planning

- Own Boutiques:

a) Ensuring correct product range in boutiques in close coordination with Boutiques managers and merchandising team.

b) Inputs in range planning

- Franchise Boutiques : Work closely with franchisees to sell-in appropriate ranges for his Boutiques

- Support company's campaigns via excellence and flawless nationwide executions of in-store POS and display

- Provide store wise annual sales plan

Systems and Processes

- Provide market and consumer intelligence to the management team, focusing on market

- Work on store SOP/SLA's and Operating Manuals

- Insure timely reporting from the stores

Team Management

- Provide strong leadership to the retail team

- Set performance plans and review the same for the team.

- Incentive planning

- Actively participate in all departmental level training & development initiatives

Visual Merchandising Management

- Provide strong direction & leadership to visual merchandising department

- Guide & Follow up to deliver VM as per lacoste global standards

Training & Development Management

- Provide strong direction & leadership to Training & development department

- Insure regular training intervention & objective measurement

Most Important Demands:

- Ability to spot trends

- Ability to work under pressure

- Balanced and fast decision making

- Speed and accuracy

- Master in Excel and Analytical

Educational Qualifications:

MBA from a leading institution

Experience:

- 8-9 years of experience with at-least 3years in retail operations and sales

- Exposure to retail and apparel/footwear

- Understanding of Sales, Retail Operations and Brand building

Core Competencies:

- Strong understanding of retail operations

- People development skills

- Negotiation skills

- Balanced and fast decision making

- Work under pressure

- Attention to detail

- Commercial understanding

Technical Competencies:

- Strong product knowledge

- Proficient in computers

- Analytical skills-data handling trends and shifts, competitors & customer information, etc.
