Responsibilities :

- This position will be an essential part of the APAC (Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, India) General Ledger Accounting function. The key responsibilities will be related to the management of the general ledger and statutory accounting process for the APAC region.

- This includes review and approval of reconciliations and analysis of various accounts and journal entries.

- This role will Manage the General Ledger team for the APAC region to improve processes in order to create optimal accounting and reconciliation practices for the company.

- This position will be based out of Kronos- Noida office in India and will report to the Sr. Finance Manager of Shared Services who is also based out of Kronos- Noida office in India. Further, this position will operate during 11:30am IST to 8:30pm IST.

Primary Job Responsibilities :

- Leads the General Ledger Accounting activity for the APAC region (4-5 legal entities) and partner with the Corporate General Ledger Accounting team

- Manage and lead team of 4-5 personnel within the APAC General Ledger Accounting function

- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all APAC subsidiaries- period-end closes, financial reporting, and consolidation with corporate books and records.

- Ensure compliance with IGAAP, US GAAP and other local GAAP accounting rules

- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures and processes and ensure that proper controls are in place

- Ensure management has advance visibility of any material accounting, reporting or internal control issues

- Review and approval of monthly journal entries and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets and cash.

- Manage intercompany accounting processes

- Monthly review and flux analysis of balance sheet accounts

- Liaise with other Regional Accounting Managers to ensure that consistent processes are applied across all regions and that there is consistent treatment of corporate finance policies.

- Maintain data integrity of Oracle to ensure US GAAP rules and local legal statutory and accounting reporting requirements are met.

- Manage the statutory accounting process for India and other APAC entities

- Manage the VAT/GST Indirect Tax filing and accounting

- Responsible for the external US GAAP audits in the APAC region, including full coordination with all stakeholders involved in the audit process

- Responsible for Statutory audits and Tax/VAT/GST audits including coordination and follow up with stakeholders involved the audit process

- Ensures corporate deadlines are met including month, quarter and year-end close duties and reporting requirements are met

- Key role in the implementation of best in class accounting processes

- Manage the Direct tax compliances and transfer pricing workings

- Help drive process improvement initiatives by applying strong communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills.

Qualifications/Ideal Experience :

- 10-15 years of Accounting work experience, of which 4-5 years of experience in the APAC region is required

- Chartered Accountant

- Experience with India and other APAC statutory accounting preparation

- Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles and strong analytical skills

- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Oracle experience a plus

- Prior Management experience

- Ability to embrace technology and change

- Strong people and customer service skills, advocate positive working relationships among internal and external customers

- Well-organized, extreme attention to detail and a self-directed individual

- Prior experience working remotely with a US multinational company would be a plus
