Roles and Responsibilities

We are recruiting for a Senior role and seeking an experienced professional to join the EDD team. In this position, your will be required to support a team of analysts/executives executing third party due diligence (TPDD) projects on behalf of international KPMG teams and clients (onshore teams). You will be required to quickly understand the established procedures and methodology, maintain the quality standards and eventually support the quality control (QC) process.

The candidate will be expected to mentor junior staff, manage & supervise mini team groups and assist in managing daily operations for the assigned group/team. Additionally, you will be required to :

- Conduct due diligence on third parties/vendors/suppliers/customers/ management

- Prepare forensic analysis and reports on suppliers/vendors

- Conduct research using a variety of other online sources, especially commercial registries and corporate databases in a variety of countries and languages

- Identify potential risks and likelihood of fraud by understanding the regulatory framework and corporate structures of companies operating in different jurisdictions

- Draw out complex shareholding structures and patterns to identify possibility of fraud driven by personal intent

- OFAC & negative news screening databases such as LexisNexis, World Check, Dow Jones & Google News along with experience using corporate registries

- Deliver high quality, time-critical and relevant deliverable to clients across the globe

- Review and quality assurance of deliverable

- Exposure and experience to conducting research in Middle Eastern countries and Russia among other jurisdictions

- Translating and summarizing information in various language into concise and accurate English reports

- Combining the above skills to deliver time-critical and relevant reports to clients

Job Requirements :

Mandatory Skills :

- The candidate must have 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, particularly in a professional services firm / third-party KPO/ /internal research/strategy teams within key technology companies

- Prior experience in due diligence and background research

- Good at secondary research, leveraging various databases such as Factiva and Lexis

- Well versed with translating and summarizing information in various language into concise and accurate English reports

- Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of financial statements

- Understanding of regulatory frameworks and corporate structures including breakdown of complex ownership structures, documentation and external research

Preferred Skills :

- Bachelor's degree or higher with a major or concentration in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Information Systems, etc.

- Work reasonably independently, with appropriate supervision/guidance from Team Lead/Assistant Manager/Manager

- Certification such as ACAMS, CFE, CFCS is a plus.

- Language experience and proficiency level -B2.2 above in any foreign language is desirable, particularly Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Attention to detail;

- Good knowledge and experience of office tools like MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel etc.
